How do I transfer previous Medical/Ocular history to my current encounter?
ANSWER: If the encounter has not been signed, you can delete the encounter by either: (1) right-clicking on the encounter in the With the SUBJECTIVE FINDINGS tool open, click on the FIND PRIOR HX button (which looks like a small pair of binoculars, located by the history section). Scroll and click on the encounter you wish to transfer. You can selectively choose individual categories or import in full. Once you accept the data transfer, the HISTORY buttons will be orange colored to indicate that the data was transfered. The only drawback to the transfer is that the data cannot be edited with the QUICK HISTORY tool. To change any data (e.g. to add/delete a medication), you can do it either in the actual import boxes before transfering (this has no effect on the previous encounter data) or use the HISTORY EDIT method (described below).
Is there a quick way to edit the history data that is associated with the various HISTORY buttons? For instance, after using the QUICK HISTORY tool to enter a patient's medications, I noticed that I omitted one.
ANSWER: Although you could click the DETAILS button and enter the additional information in the QUICK HISTORY tool, a faster method is to right-click the MEDICATION button and choose "Edit Text". Data can be added, deleted or otherwise modified. This same method works for most of the other buttons throughout the program.
